Memebon: The World’s Cutest Kitten

Fashionably Cute is happy to introduce a Japanese superstar that Cuteoverload would absolutely die for. It’s Memebon, possibly the world’s cutest kitten.

Memebon is a girl. She was born very tiny and looked like Yoda, but had an extremely expressive face, which promised a great career in modeling:

However Yoda is no relation. Memebon has a kitty mother:

And a kitty father:

Now she has grown and up looks like this (still cute):

Memebon’s website is in Japanese, but that shouldn’t be an obstacle for cuteness fans

Memebon (or quite possibly her owner) writes a blog (in Japanese) documenting the life of her family, she has also published two super-kawaii photo books, sold on Amazon Japan: Memebon and We Love Meme.

Memebon website also has a great bonus: wallpapers and icons with the kitty familly.

• Sorry, but I genuinely don’t find cats with such extremely modified faces cute. It’s too far from what nature intended cats to be. Those poor kitties with ultra-squashed faces usually have bad respiratory and eye problems.

  Sorry, I don’t know a thing about cat breeding, and the kitty is not mine anyway.

  I’m pretty sure that her cuteness comes not from the squashed face, but from that adorable baby helplessness, tiny little feet and tail, and a clever expression in the eyes.

• It’s not cute at all. Persians and breeds with their faces all smashed in like that are supremely ugly. My cat is definitely a lot cuter, because he’s just a normal barn cat. But I agree with JP, that kitty would look good roasting over a fire.

• I too find Meme just adorable. Not a ’scottish fold’ but an “exotic” breed. They have the body structure of a persian, but short thick fur rather than the long silky coat.

• I agree that a squashed face is not cute- however, I do like her colors. Very loud. And as far as I can tell, she is a Scottish Fold, or at least half anyway, if that orange tabby is indeed her father. Scottish Folds often have litters where half the kittens have folded ears and half do not, which means she could even be a purebred because her mother just might be an “unfolded” variety of Fold kitty.
